Release Notes 47

White-labelled SaaS solution for food delivery businesses

At Playfood, we're committed to continually improving the user experience and ensuring that our applications remain as intuitive and user-friendly as possible. With each release, we strive to adapt to the latest trends and global developments to keep your food and grocery delivery business ahead of the curve. This release is particularly exciting as it not only includes key UX improvements, but also introduces several significant feature updates that can greatly benefit your operations. Dive into the details below to discover how these new enhancements can improve your business and deliver even greater value to your customers.

1. New Payment API Integration

The first feature of this release is a Payment API that enables our partners to independently integrate a variety of payment gateways. With this technology and detailed, comprehensive documentation, partners now have the flexibility to manage their own payment integrations. By using part-time or in-house developers, partners can potentially speed up the integration process and reduce costs, ensuring a more efficient and budget-friendly implementation.

For those who prefer to use Playfood's expertise, our development team will continue to offer a premium service to build these integrations. However, due to high demand and our commitment to quality, there may be a waiting period for these services. To find out more, please contact your Business Development or Account Manager.

2. New Product Display Options

The next update we are excited to introduce is our product display options that will improve the user experience on the Playfood platform. Previously, all product catalogs were displayed in a card format, allowing customers to scroll through items one at a time. With our latest update, you now have the flexibility to choose between two modes offered by all major players and Playfood: the traditional list view or a tile view that displays multiple products at once. This decision should be made before launching a vendor's catalog, as it will determine whether you need vertical or horizontal visualization. However, if you want to change the display method later, it's a simple matter of adjusting the catalog visuals accordingly. This feature also provides the ability to customize the display method for each individual vendor, allowing you to create a tailored shopping experience across different vendor catalogs.

3. Enhanced Order Security

In response to partner feedback, we're pleased to introduce a new security feature to help minimize the risk of fraud orders. With this update, partners now have the option to hide the cash payment method for customers until they have successfully completed a certain number of orders using an online payment method. The required number of completed orders can be customized to suit your market conditions, ensuring flexibility and control. This feature aims to prevent scenarios where orders are placed but never paid for, protecting vendors from potential losses. To activate this feature, simply contact your dedicated Account Manager who will assist you with the backend setup.

We encourage you to explore these updates and take full advantage of the new features available to you. As always, our team is here to help - whether you're thinking about how to implement these features into your operations or marketing, we're here to support you and share our expertise. Thank you for being a valued partner in our journey to redefine the grocery delivery industry.
