One of the most useful features of Firebase is the ability to create custom audiences, which allows you to target specific users with personalised content and marketing messages. In this article, we will guide you through the process of creating a custom audience in Firebase from scratch. This step-by-step guide will help you create a custom audience that will drive engagement and increase retention rates for your app. So, let's get started!

  • Create and insert a clear title for this audience to distinguish it from others in the future

  • Add new condition >> Geography >> City

Add a filter for the city from the suggested options with the condition “exactly matches (=)”. For example, let’s choose Limassol.

Also you can put a tick “At any point in time” and if users have been in the city at any point in time, they’ll be included in this group.

Then you can add new conditions to your audience using the condition “AND”. In the end, your audience will include only people that match all the conditions you’ve specified (e.g., demographics: age, gender, interests).

You can change “AND” to “OR”. Then, users who match ANY of the conditions will be added to your audience. For example, if you add Limassol OR Nicosia, both cities will be included in your audience.

  • Choose a duration for your audience

You can choose how long users stay members of this audience.

You can also set up a trigger event which logs the event when the user becomes a member of this group. For example, it could be the event “First_order”.

There could be thousands of variations, so continue experimenting with the settings.

And don’t forget to push the “Save” button. Once you have created your custom audience, you can use it later whenever you set up a new notification campaign. This will save you time and effort in the long run, as you will not have to manually select a particular target audience every time you create a new campaign.

By leveraging the power of Firebase's custom audience feature, you can boost engagement, retention, and overall success of your food delivery business. So what are you waiting for? Start creating your custom audience today and take your revenue to the next level!
